TENSALLOY™ EXTRA HY 80 Abrasion Resistant Steel Plate
Tensalloy™ Extra HY 80 contains high levels of chrome and nickel which allow it to resist corrosion. This chemistry also provides resistance to heat. When other AR plates become soft at 400 ° F, Clifton Steel’s Tensalloy™ Extra remains stable at atmospheric temperatures up to 1,000 ° F.
Tensalloy™ Extra HY 80 is a preferred grade in applications where high heat and wear resistance are both important considerations. In many cases, it is an economical substitute for stainless steels used in wear applications, providing heat and corrosion resistance, but at a higher level of wear resistance.
